Your apartment is cleaned every two weeks. Weekly cleaning is considered an extra service and subject to an additional charge.

Business Apartments Bern offer the convenience and comfort of a hotel stay, including bed linen and towels which are changed every two weeks. All you need to bring are your favourite toiletries.

Parking is available at all of our locations, except for our apartments on the Rathausgasse in Bern city centre. You can rent a space for CHF 150/month.

No, all our apartments are smoke-free zones.

Pets are not allowed in our apartments.

No. All our apartments come with free high-speed internet access.

Yes, connections are possible via HDMI cable, Apple AirPlay and Google Chromecast. However, you cannot access the internet via the TV.

Yes, of course. However, for safety reasons (emergency, fire etc.), you must provide us with the personal details of any additional guests (i.e. guests not listed in the rental agreement), who stay in the apartment for more than two nights. We are legally obliged to collect this information.

We charge an additional CHF 150/month for longer-term double occupancies. Of course, we will provide the second occupant with their own bed linen, towels and a key.

Yes, the minimum rental period is one month.

No, but it is important to remember that our rental agreements always start on the first day of the month. If your preferred apartment is free, you can rent it out from the 16th of the current month. However, you can only give notice at the end of the month (except 31 December).

Yes. You are required to pay a deposit equal to two months' rent as well as rent for the first month no later than five working days before you check in. We will return your deposit when you check out.

If your stay is less than 90 days, you will also have to pay a visitor's tax. In the city of Bern, this is CHF X.XX per night. At the end of your stay, we will calculate the amount you owe and deduct it from your deposit.

Yes. Long-let agreements are subject to a one-month notice period. Your notice should reach us no later than one day before the start of the notice period (i.e. last day of month; exception: 31 December).

1. We will send you the agreement by email. Print, sign and scan the agreement and return it to us by email.

2. The next step is to pay the rent deposit (two months' rent) into our bank account. Your booking will be confirmed as soon as we have received the signed rental agreement and the money transfer has gone through.

3. You must pay your first month's rent no later than five working days before you check in.

We require the following information and official documents:

  • number of permanent guests
  • copies of all guests' passports
  • your current home address
  • name of your employer
  • your phone number and email address
  • your account details (to return the deposit)
  • duration of the rental agreement (fixed term/open-ended)

Yes, we offer flexible check-in times, even outside business hours. However, you can only check in on the first or 16th day of the month.

During your stay

Please ring our on-call service

Don't worry if it goes to answerphone. Your call will be returned within the next 30 minutes. This guarantee applies outside normal business hours, too.

The following individuals can access your apartment:

  • housekeeping staff
  • cleaning staff
  • tradespeople, where necessary

We can assure that we will always give you 24 hours' advance notice if someone requires access to your apartment. If tradespeople have to repair something in your apartment, a member of our staff will remain with them for the duration of the call-out. Please note that this does not apply to personnel from our vetted cleaning company.

No, unfortunately this is not possible for logistical reasons. However, you can contact us if you are ill on the designated cleaning day and do not wish to be disturbed. We will arrange an alternative date.

No. Our administrative processes are entirely electronic. This means that invoices are issued electronically and sent by email. To prevent our invoice emails landing in your spam folder, we recommend that you add us to your electronic address book.

You must pay your rental fees no later than the last day of the previous month.

Seems like you are enjoying your stay. That's great news! Please call us as soon as possible to arrange an extension. Hopefully, your apartment is still available. If not, we will do everything we can to find you a new apartment in the same category.

Please contact us as soon as possible. If we are able to find new occupants for your apartment, we will refund you the remainder of the rent. All you will have to pay is CHF 150 in 'extraordinary cancellation' fees.

The period of notice is one month. To be legally valid, we must receive the notice by email no later than one day before (i.e. last day of the month) the notice period begins. If not, tenancy is automatically extended for another month.

Check-out

You must vacate the apartment no later than 11 am on your day of departure.

The apartment will be cleaned when you leave. The cost of this service is covered in the rental fee. However, you will be charged extra if additional cleaning beyond the standard service is required. We therefore kindly request that you dispose of all empty bottles, containers and other waste before vacating the apartment.

We will return your deposit no later than two weeks after you have checked out. We will transfer the amount to the account you provided in the rental agreement.
